(Retail & Wholesale – Food Products)

At TeeKolia Imports, we operate in accordance with Canadian consumer protection standards and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) guidelines. We are committed to providing safe, high-quality food products for customers across Canada and worldwide. Our return and refund policy ensures clarity, fairness, and adherence to food safety regulations.

  1. Eligibility for Returns

Because food safety is regulated in Canada, most perishable food items cannot be returned once delivered. This is in line with CFIA standards and provincial consumer protection rules.

However, returns or refunds may be offered in the following cases:

  • The product arrives damaged, spoiled, contaminated, or unsafe.
  • The product received does not match the order (wrong item, wrong quantity, and wrong specifications).
  • The product is defective or unfit for consumption.

Non-Perishable Products

For packaged, sealed, shelf-stable items, returns may be accepted within 14 days of delivery, provided:

  • Packaging is unopened and in its original condition
  • The product has not been exposed to heat, moisture, or improper storage
  • The item is not marked Final Sale
  1. Non-Returnable Items (Canadian Food Safety Requirements)

To comply with CFIA and public health standards, the following items cannot be returned under any circumstances:

  • Perishable or temperature-sensitive foods
    (fresh produce, frozen foods, dairy, meats, seafood, prepared foods)
  • Opened or partially used food products
  • Items not stored according to package instructions after delivery
  • Bulk or wholesale orders explicitly marked Final Sale
  • Gift cards or promotional items
  1. Damaged, Incorrect, or Missing Items

If your order arrives damaged, spoiled, or incorrect, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery. This ensures food-safety traceability, as required under Canadian regulations.

Please include:

  • Order number
  • Photos of the product, packaging, and shipping box
  • Brief description of the issue
  • We will promptly arrange a replacement, refund, or store credit at no additional cost.
  1. Refunds & Credits
  • Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 3-7 business days.
  • Wholesale clients may receive account credit applicable to future purchases.
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable, unless the issue was caused by TeeKolia (wrong item, damaged product, or fulfillment error).
  1. Wholesale Orders (Canada & International)
  • Large-volume, custom, or specialty wholesale orders are generally non-returnable due to food safety and logistical constraints.
  • Issues with wholesale shipments must be reported within 72 hours of delivery with supporting documentation.
  • TeeKolia may offer a partial refund, replacement, or credit at its discretion, based on product type, condition, and regulatory requirements.
  1. International Deliveries

TeeKolia follows all CFIA export standards and complies with each destination country’s import laws.

Customers outside Canada are responsible for:

  • Ensuring that ordered products are permitted for import
  • Any customs duties, inspections, or restrictions

TeeKolia is not responsible for shipments delayed, rejected, or destroyed due to customs or border authority actions. Refunds in such cases are not guaranteed.
