SHEA BUTTER

It is extracted from the nut (almond) of the shea tree. There are 2  varieties types of  shea butter: a fruit type from either an Eastern or Western African tree. It is also called “women’s gold” because historically, the fruit was harvested by women. The shea tree can reach 15m in height and live for more than 3 centuries. It produces on average 15 to 20kg per year. Very common in cosmetics, shea butter is an organic ingredient with multiple virtues.
